Looking for Virtual Learning for Your Group? Frustrated With Identical, Basic Project Management Courses?
Most on-line learning is “how to” learning. Many vendors offer the same basic, introductory material on risk, schedule, budgets, and other topics. It is hard for a PMO Manager, Professional Development VP, Professional Development Director, Training Director, Human Resources Professional, or Department Manager to find good training opportunities for experienced project managers.
Appropriate training is expensive: specialized, rarely-offered classes, seminars, or conferences. It is hard to schedule, and travel costs are expensive. Senior staff sometimes must cancel because of work demands. The benefits of on-line training are all over the news and in magazines, but nothing seems to meet your staff’s needs.
On-Line Training for Experienced Project Managers
Real-Life Projects offers a web seminar series for the experienced project manager. Each event is timely, topical, and challenging.
Each event earns one (1) PDU for your staff towards PMI certification renewal.
The full description of the web seminar program explains the advantages of this unique program.
How Can I Subscribe For My Whole Group?
Each person in your group can subscribe and attend individually, but a group subscription is more convenient.
When you sign up for a group subscription, your group members will be able to attend each event at no cost to them. You get a unique registration code that you give to them. This code gets them free admission to each event.
For each attendee from your group, you pay $10 USD per month, per attendee. If one of your group members attends all ten events for the year, that would be $100 for 10 hours of high-quality, advanced project management education.
You only pay for the people who actually attend the live event, and all your group members get access to the recorded web seminars at no additional cost. If no one from your group attends, you pay nothing. There is no monthly minimum and no up-front cost. (If your group is accessing a large number of recorded seminars compared to the live events, I reserve the right to set a monthly minimum. Contact me for details.)
Benefits
Similar classroom material or a day-and-a-half of conference time would cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. This program is a huge cost savings.
Save time. There is no travel needed to participate.
Reduce the impact of unexpected work-schedule changes. Your project managers can reschedule and register for the event when they are available. They can watch the recording anytime. These events are easy and quick to reschedule, and you always know that a new live event is coming soon.
Privacy and Billing
Group members register for each event at my site, sharing their name and e-mail address if they choose to attend. I need that information to track attendance and issue PDUs.
I provide you with a list of attendees from your group along with the monthly bill.
If you want to provide me with your group members’ names and contact information, I can send them notices about upcoming events. Most group subscribers use their own internal newsletter or web site to announce the events instead.
If you have custom needs and want to register and track attendees yourself, contact me for details.
In all cases, I will ONLY use the e-mail address and personal information to provide you with the service. I will not share them with others or resell them in any way. I take your group’s privacy very seriously. I will, of course, use your members’ contact information to respond to their requests and answer their questions.
Special Offer for Non-Profits and Professional Associations
Any non-profit group, including professional associations like IPMA groups, PMI Chapters, PMI SIGs, and PMI Colleges, will pay a maximum amount of $100 USD per month, no matter how many members attend. Non-profits pay the same per-attendee rates and enjoy the same access to recorded web seminars. They also get a monthly cap on the fees.
For example, if a PMI Chapter had three people attend the February event, their bill for February would be $30 USD. If they had 300 people attend in March, their bill would hit the monthly cap, and they would only pay $100 USD for March.
Events are held 10 months out of the year, so the effective annual cap is $1,000 USD for non-profit groups. You may also “opt out” of a particular month’s program, reducing annual expenses. If a group decided to promote only four out of the 10 events to their membership, their maximum annual cost would be $400.
Sign Up Today
Signing up only requires that you agree to a basic contract, outlining the billing arrangement. You can cancel the agreement at any time. There is no up-front cost. If you are not satisfied, I encourage you to tell me about your complaint and I will void your outstanding bill.
Compare $10 USD per person per event to the cost of starting and running your own web seminar program. Just the telecommunications and web conferencing bill is typically $1,000 USD per year or more. It takes many hours of preparation to find speakers within the organization, moderate the events, prepare high-quality material, and do the presentations.
Most organizations lack high-quality presenters. You are getting me, Alex S. Brown, PMP IPMA-C an experienced project manager and speaker, and a Professional Member of the National Speakers Association and International Federation for Public Speaking. If I do have guests on for some topics, they will be similar, high-caliber experts and high-quality speakers.
You get a full, 10-session, one-year program — planned, executed, guaranteed, and professionally delivered — for less than what you would probably pay for web conferencing alone for your own program.
Contact me, Alex S. Brown, about your group’s needs, and your group can be enjoying this web seminar series in a matter of days.
